Let’s face it Chris is a lucky man, Rochelle is an absolute stunner!

..That and having thick, long, blonde hair, making her hair look amazing was never going to be hard I have to admit!

But, later seeing these fabulous pictures of the bridal party jumping on the bed, Rochelle being carried upside down and swung around by her newly married husband and plenty of dance moves being pulled on the dance floor (fabulous photos courteous of the very talented Kim at Hello Kimbo),  and not to mention dealing with the humidity of being along the stunning coastline on the Bellarine Peninsular – being a hairdresser; my heart skips a beat.. but I was pleased to see in the send-off picture the newly married couple; Rochelle + Chris running under an archway of sparklers; the hair survived this magical, fun-filled day (phew! ..my job was done and now I can sleep at night)

I first met Rochelle face to face in early Jan (after emailing back and forth in the months leading up to and just over a month before her big day) We did a hair trial at her home in beautiful Torquay, sigh, I loved the sound of this wedding already! I heard about all the little details of their wedding day that herself and Chris had been organising and busily DIY’ing (it’s amazing what happens when an Interior designer and a Carpenter join forces) I’m talking timber signs, a timber love heart that held their rings, lemonade bottle tags and straw flags, petal cones, timber invitations, all the wedding stationary, right down to the timber chopping boards they had as bonbonnieres!

As a hairdresser we love to see the dress, bridesmaid’s dresses, anything that the bride (or bridesmaids) will be wearing in the hair, the shoes, flowers and any tiny little details of the big day! We love to hear it all – we are a bit wedding obsessed – it also gives us a good feel of the style and personality of the bride, groom and their special day.

The wedding day..

On the day I was lucky enough to partner up with Hillary Holmes once again for the morning wedding prep (Check her out, she travels and her work is ahh-mazing!) Rochelle’s hair was a relaxed wave with a side part, one side pulled back where we pinned some fresh David Austin roses that also featured in her bouquet created by the wonderful Danielle Fraser at Moss Industry Florist, I can’t get over fresh flowers in hair, so dreamy! It was elegant and timeless and looked oh-so-romantic! This worked perfectly with her low back, ivory, full lace dress and her beautiful thick, blonde long hair! – Dying!!

Her five fabulous bridesmaids all wore a beautiful peachy/pink lace Review dress on the day and all picked their own shoes! All five girls had a different style too which complimented each individual gal, but still tied in together with some fresh David Austin buds pinned into their hair

These two love birds married at the magical Baie Wines, a small family run winery right on the bay… “We fell in love with the property and the owners as soon as we drove in!”

The reception to follow was at Terindah Estate. A space filled with lace bunting hung from the roof, an old rustic ladder that was decorated with vines and hanging jars of flowers above the bridal table, a photo booth for their guests to enjoy, quilt squares for guests to sign as their guest book, the tables were decorated with jars of different flowers and tea light candles, a naked white chocolate cake decorated with David Austin roses that sat on a wine barrel and a live music that created an “unbelievable atmosphere!”

There is no better feeling for us than to see how the day came together and we absolutely love playing a small (very important!) part in a couple’s special day that they will always remember.

I hope the buzz you felt on this day lasts forever!
